 ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png){kind=small} ichigosticks is on a quest for Filipino D2 fans...I've quite included this on my heart-breaking post (featuring Prince Series Collection PBs) last May 16, but allow me to retell the story on how I discovered those boys. x 奇跡 x Around 2011, my cousin introduced me the world of BL live action. She consistently shares me the movies she had watched, but I wasn't able to catch up, and for some reason, I wasn't able to watch them right away. Gradually, I forgot those movies, and just continued to read yaoi fanfics. But when I had a MAJOR Japanese Fandom comeback (Japan's my first love before I became a straight Korea fanatic for like 3-4 years) last 2012, my BL feels finally bloomed. If I'm not mistaken, I started with Taikukan Baby, then followed by Junjou ~Pure~, a couple of random japanese yaoi movies, and finally, Takumi-kun Series. I watched Takumi-kun in proper order, so the first WE boy who caught my eye was (Yanagishita) Tomo. I used google, of course, to learn more about this guy and I saw his entertainment company. I opened the wikipage of WE and saw their list about D-BOYS, D☆DATE etc. Soon enough, I learned about D☆DATE's members and started to listen to their music. Though, honestly, I didn't become a big fan because I only focus on JUMP and Kisumai back then. And about D-BOYS... I know I've seen some of them in random dramas I've watched, but I don't particularly know them as a group. And the list of their names was pretty long... that's why I didn't bother to check on them either. (I'm stupid, I know.) After watching the first three movies of the series, I became a solid daimao shipper. Then there was the fourth installment, Pure, and I became a hardcore fan of arata x shingyouji otp. There was also the pairing of takabayashi and yoshizawa, but I was too engrossed by the arata x shingyouji ship that I've almost forgotten daimao was also in the movie. (lol) However, since I was so in love with the fourth movie, I searched for the cast list and saw 'Kobayashi Yutaka' and 'Mitsuya Ryo.' There were some pictures of them together on tumblr, but I made sure I was able to search for their other works (separately). When I saw Micchi's photos on tumblr, I was like, 'Oh~ He has a group!' because most of those tumblr posts are his blog entries. Then, I noticed that (Nishii) Yuuki's with him most of the time. I remember reading one post saying that Yuuki's really close to Micchi that he goes to his house regularly.   (Two of my first fave micchi x yuuki photos) Here are some of the photos I was able to get when I first learned about Micchi and Yuuki's group.      I didn't know that their group was D2, all I know is that they're associated with D-BOYS. (Another note: When I made a #throwback about the original Hana Kimi, I realized that this Shirota Yu's actually the guy in the Prince of Tennis movie, and he's also a part of D-BOYS. gdi srsly I was just so clueless before.) Then there was my j-dorama phase. I watched Hana Kimi 2011 because there was Aoi, Shohei, and Tomo (and Acchan). And the cutie patootie Yuuki was there and I was like, 'o m g you're so cute you're liek a cute bouncy kid who loves make ups and kira kira stuffs and all' and just, damn this kid's totally rockin' this role. But in the end... I still wasn't able to learn about their group. All I know is that Mitsuya Ryo and Nishii Yukito exist. D-BOYS exist. D☆DATE exist. Tomo, Seto and Shirota exist. And I just love these actors. x 奇跡 x College. Stuck with loads of nerve-wrecking school works. Random flailing about Johnny's. Had lots of english movie marathons. More random flailing. Until I hit my head somewhere I don't even remember and I was able to open my eyes and see the light (dafuq did I just say). x 奇跡 x J-dorama phase: November 2013. Among those dramas I've watched, I think one of the best was 35 sai no Koukousei. And Yuuki was there so I'm like, 'Woah, it's Nishii! And he's not gay at all!' And this drama's like a major compilation of the actors I've seen in the recent dramas I've watched so I really enjoyed it. J-dorama phase: Summer vacation 2014. Before the semester ended, I already started to watch a few dramas. And there was GTO, and I even thought Jingi was there (WHAT). To be honest, I didn't even notice it was pudding (Yamada Yuki) who acted as the guy who loves to cook. He looked so... small? IDK... until I watched ItaKiss ofc. ItaKiss... I was soooo in love with Furukawa Yuki (I knew it was the guy friend of Junpei in HSdebut) that I didn't notice (again, for the nth time) pudding. But in ItaKiss' intro, they display the artists' names, right? And I noticed that Kin-chan and Naoki are both Yukis so I tried to learn more about this 'Yamada Yuki.' (I saw it! It was last April 7! But as what my phone history says, I've visited D2's site as early as March?) On his bio, I saw GTO listed as one of his dramas and in an instant, I was able to recall who he was. "THE LONG HAIRED COOKING GUY!" To be honest, I can't remember how the hell I became a fan! It was like... a few days back I was just watching ItaKiss then it was like, 'voila! you know D2 now!' SERIOUSLY, this is still a mystery to me. HOW THE HELL I CAN'T REMEMBER. The only thing I can remember is that I was on their website and was trying to memorize their names and faces. I remember searching about Junjun and Shion, too. And watching Pole Dancing Boys... And it was like magic. Not exaggerating things, I just really can't remember. All I know is I became a fan the next day, I stumbled upon fuckyeahd2boys' tumblr and d2boys and now, I'm losing my mind because of this bunch of random, useless ikemens who are fulfilling their dreams while being just plain fab. x 奇跡 x I was able to find a couple of people who are in the fandom, and now, we're friends. (Ehem Asuka ehem Nicky) I don't know if these two would see this post but I still want to show my gratitude to these two wonderful ladies. Asuka's ( xianaasuka ) like a human D2 encyclopedia - you can just ask her everything you want to know! And she's one of the pioneers of the fandom, and most of the things you'd learn about the members (nicknames for example) are made by her. She's also one of the translators of f2, and runs fyd2boys. She's awesome, isn't she? I was so shocked when she followed me right away after my anon tumblr post. (Yes, it was anon but she said she knew it was me) And then she introduced Nicky after seeing my W-atsu tweet.Nicky ( daiyouhinn ), on the other hand, is like the head of all W-atsu shippers. She loves Arai more than anyone else (but apparently You-chan's been bugging her the past few days) and she's Greek (is this even necessary) She's also one of those who translates and upload stuffs on d2boys. She's really nice ;_;Actually, both of them are awesome and nice, and I am so glad I found them. I want to approach them sometimes but I'm shy. I want us to be closer though, coz I am probably still alone if not for them. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!  x 奇跡 x It was hard for me at first. Since, most of the DVDs and butai are not subbed, I have no choice but to watch the raw files. But as the time passed by, I was able to get used to it and I am actually glad because watching them without subs is very helpful. I DO LEARN. (And I can finally understand like half of Shin's blog entries even without google and dictionary lol) Actually, I think I understand raw videos more than blog entries full of kanjis |Db x 奇跡 x I'm glad I'm in this fandom. These guys are cute, hot, sexy, fluffy and dumb at the same time. I hope I can find Filipino D2 fans as well. :( It's still better to have friends that are from the same country, right? (MEET-UPS AND GATHS AND SUCH) (I've seen quite a lot of d-boys fans before tho but I can't find them anymore ;;) It was a long story and I could've become a fan sooner, but there were just lots of distractions and all... I don't really remember how I ended up loving these guys but... Probably, it was just fate. Or more like a miracle. x 奇跡 x hell yeah.
